RAS Luxury Skincare Secures $5 Million from Unilever Ventures
RAS Luxury Skincare, a farm-to-face beauty and personal care brand, has raised $5 million in a Series A funding round led by Unilever Ventures. The round also saw participation from Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund, Sixth Sense Ventures, and angel investors, including the family of banker Keki Mistry.
Founded in 2017 by Shubhika Jain, Suramya Jain, and Sangeeta Jain, RAS Luxury Skincare specializes in plant-based, vegan, and non-toxic products, including serums, moisturizers, sunscreens, and bath products. The brand follows a fully in-house, vertically integrated model, sourcing organic ingredients from its own farms and local farmers.
The funding will be used to expand RAS’s retail footprint, with plans to open 50 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) across India over the next three years. The company aims for offline channels to generate 25% of its revenue within the next four years. Additionally, the funds will support talent acquisition, research and development for new products, advertising, and enhancing technology to improve customer experiences.
RAS Luxury Skincare has recorded a 140% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past year, with its direct-to-consumer (D2C) channel now accounting for over 50% of the company’s revenue. The brand is also available on major e-commerce and quick commerce platforms.
Pawan Chaturvedi, Partner & Head – Asia, Unilever Ventures talking about the funding , said “We believe that over the next 5-7 years, the premium beauty market in India will witness significant growth, and RAS, with its distinct value proposition, is well poised to capture this opportunity.”
