Sojourner Consumer Partners Acquires Lornamead

Lornamead, the personal care company behind Yardley London, Finesse, and Aqua Net, has been acquired by Sojourner Consumer Partners in a strategic corporate carve-out.

The acquisition positions Lornamead as an independent entity, allowing for renewed growth and brand revitalization. Sojourner, a private equity firm specializing in consumer brands, aims to provide dedicated resources and strategic guidance to strengthen Lornamead’s market presence.

“We are excited to complete this acquisition and welcome Lornamead into the Sojourner family,” said Rob DesMarais, Senior Partner at Sojourner. “This aligns with our strategy of investing in established consumer brands that will benefit from focused leadership and innovation”.

Lornamead will maintain its manufacturing and office facilities in Tonawanda, New York, ensuring continuity in operations. Emily Fong Mitchell, a former senior executive at Colgate-Palmolive, has been appointed Vice Chair to help steer the company’s next phase of growth.

This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Lornamead, which has been a key player in personal and oral care since its founding in 1978. With Sojourner’s backing, the company is expected to expand its digital commerce capabilities and strengthen its brand portfolio.
