CSIR CIMAP Lucknow and FFDC Sign MoU to Launch of 2-Year MS Course

A significant milestone was reached in the fields of fragrance and cosmetics as the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR CIMAP), Lucknow and the Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre (FFDC), Kannauj signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration. This partnership focuses on launching an innovative 2-year MS course in Fragrance & Cosmetics.
The MoU signing ceremony took place in the esteemed presence of Dr. (Mrs.) N. Kalaiselvii, Director General of CSIR and Secretary DSIR; Dr. Ajit K Shasany, Director of CSIR National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI); Dr. Bhaskar Narayan, Director of CSIR Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR); and Dr. Radha Rangarajan, Director of CSIR Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI). The document was exchanged between the Directors of both institutes, witnessed by Dr. R K Srivastava, Principal Scientist at CIMAP, and A P Singh, Assistant Director at FFDC Kannauj, alongside other eminent scientists from CIMAP.
This new MS course aims to bring a fresh dimension to the field and set international standards in fragrance and cosmetics education, ensuring students receive comprehensive, industry-relevant training.
The collaboration is expected to foster advancements in research and development, promoting excellence in the industry and contributing to the global market’s growth and innovation.
