Dove Introduces Shower Sensor Technology

Dove has unveiled an innovative addition to its personal care lineup with the launch of its Shower Sensor Technology, integrated into the Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash. This feature is designed to promote healthier shower habits by addressing the impact of excessively hot water on the skin’s moisture barrier.

The Shower Sensor Technology is embedded in the product’s packaging, which includes a smart label that activates when exposed to water temperatures above 41°C. The label displays a “VERY HOT” warning, encouraging users to adjust their shower temperature to a more skin-friendly level. This simple yet effective innovation aims to prevent the dryness, irritation, and damage often caused by hot showers, particularly during colder months when the skin is more vulnerable.

Dove’s new body wash not only incorporates this advanced technology but also delivers its signature 24-hour hydration benefits. The product is PETA-certified cruelty-free, microbiome gentle, and packaged in 100% recycled plastic, reflecting Dove’s commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.

This launch represents a significant step forward in combining skincare with smart technology. By offering real-time feedback, Dove empowers consumers to make informed choices that protect their skin’s natural vitality. As Divya Singh, Head of Personal Care at Unilever Canada, stated, “Dove Shower Sensor takes everyday showering to a new level, offering a simple yet impactful way to care for the skin’s natural vitality.”
