Dr. Muhammed Majeed, the visionary founder of Sabinsa Corporation, was posthumously honored with the prestigious Visionary Award by the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) during its annual Member Meeting in Anaheim, California, on March 4, 2025. The award recognizes Dr. Majeed’s transformative contributions to the herbal and natural products industry, bridging ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with modern health solutions. 

Dr. Majeed pioneered the development of standardized herbal extracts from India’s Ayurvedic plants, creating a global market for these traditional ingredients. Over his 36-year leadership of the Sami-Sabinsa Group, he built the company into a multinational health and life sciences powerhouse, advancing innovation in herbal research and product development. 

Shaheen Majeed, Sabinsa’s Global CEO and Managing Director, accepted the award on behalf of his late father, expressing gratitude for the recognition: “Dr. Majeed’s remarkable legacy continues to inspire us all, and we are committed to ensuring his work lives on for future generations.”
