Reduced Concentrations: The new regulations set specific concentration limits for methyl salicylate in various cosmetic products. For example, rinse-off skin and hair products are limited to 0.02% for children under 1 year and 0.06% for older children and adults.

Implementation Timeline: The draft legislation is open for public comments for 60 days, with the proposed deadlines for market placement set for September 30, 2025, and making available on the market by March 31, 2026.
