Safic-Alcan, a major distributor of specialty chemicals, has announced its acquisition of a majority stake in Avees Biocos, a leading personal care chemical distributor based in India. Established in 2007 by Rahul and Deepti Sawhney, Avees Biocos has become a key player in sourcing advanced technology ingredients and formulating unique cosmetic products. The company prides itself on the motto, “Innovation at Heart”.

Avees Biocos offers a diverse range of products, including biopolymers, preservatives, emollients, sensory modifiers, UV filters, active ingredients for skin and hair care, emulsifiers, fragrances, and functional polymers. The company, headquartered in Gurugram, boasts a state-of-the-art innovation center dedicated to developing unique formulation solutions for its clients. This center serves as a knowledge-sharing platform where customers and suppliers can collaborate to create high-quality products using advanced technology ingredients.
