Longtake Unveils Perfumes Made from Upcycled Oak Sawdust

Korean fragrance brand Longtake has introduced an exciting innovation with the release of three gender-neutral solid perfumes, crafted from upcycled oak sawdust. This eco-friendly initiative not only showcases Longtake’s commitment to sustainability but also offers a unique olfactory experience. This fragrances makes the most of upcycled oak sawdust sourced from carpentry workshops, effectively reducing the need to harvest traditional sandalwood.

The three new solid perfumes, named “Forest Essence,” “Timber Harmony,” and “Nature’s Whisper,” are designed to appeal to all genders, breaking away from traditional gender-specific fragrance norms. Each perfume is formulated using oak sawdust, a byproduct of the timber industry, which is typically discarded. By upcycling this material, Longtake is contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious beauty industry.

“Forest Essence” features earthy and woody notes, capturing the essence of a serene forest. “Timber Harmony” combines rich, warm tones with hints of spice, evoking the feeling of a cozy cabin in the woods. “Nature’s Whisper” offers a lighter, fresher scent with floral and herbal undertones, reminiscent of a gentle breeze through a forest.

Longtake’s CEO, Ji-Hoon Kim, stated, “We believe that beauty and sustainability can go hand in hand. By using upcycled oak sawdust, we’re not only reducing waste but also creating unique fragrances that connect people with nature.”

The launch of these gender-neutral solid perfumes is part of Longtake’s broader mission to promote eco-friendly practices in the beauty industry. The brand aims to inspire other companies to explore sustainable alternatives and reduce their environmental impact.
