Cosmetech is an official media partner of Cosmoprof India 2026. Sheela Iyer explains how the partnership brings global beauty science and innovation to Indian manufacturers and brands.
Fourthwave Media Group’s Beauty Business Days and Cosmetech join Cosmoprof India as media partners, connecting global beauty innovation with Indian businesses and professionals.
The beauty industry is increasingly shaped by global innovation, evolving consumer expectations and new business opportunities. For India’s beauty ecosystem, staying connected with these developments is essential to building stronger brands, expanding markets and strengthening professional capabilities.
Against this backdrop, Beauty Business Days (BBD) has signed on as an official media partner of Cosmoprof India, alongside Cosmetech, under Fourthwave Media Group. The association reflects the group’s commitment to supporting the beauty, cosmetics, fragrance and personal care industries through specialised industry journalism, knowledge exchange and business-focused coverage.
According to Sheela Iyer, owner of Fourthwave Media Group, the partnership is a natural extension of the group’s work across the beauty value chain. While Cosmetech focuses on science, technology, formulation, manufacturing and innovation, Beauty Business Days covers the business of salons and spas, connecting brands, distributors, professionals and industry stakeholders.
With Cosmoprof India’s international network, the association aims to bring global developments closer to the Indian market while highlighting India’s manufacturing capabilities, innovation and entrepreneurial potential.
India’s beauty and personal care market is evolving, with changing consumer expectations, advances in scientific innovation and growing opportunities across products and professional services.
Iyer sees Cosmoprof India as an important meeting point for brands, manufacturers, distributors, technology providers and beauty professionals. The platform offers Indian businesses opportunities to understand international trends, explore emerging technologies and build relationships beyond domestic markets.
It also provides a platform to showcase India’s capabilities in manufacturing, product development and brand creation to a global audience.
For the industry, the opportunity extends beyond discovering new products. It includes understanding how international developments can inform business decisions, product innovation and market expansion in India.
For Iyer, the media partnership is about more than reporting on an exhibition. It is about interpreting industry developments and helping businesses understand their relevance.
Through Cosmetech, the focus will be on the science and technology behind next-generation cosmetics, fragrance and personal care. Beauty Business Days will translate global developments into actionable insights for Indian brands, distributors, salon businesses and beauty entrepreneurs.
“Our focus is simple: make global innovation meaningful for India,” Iyer explains. The objective is to explore not only what is new, but also why it matters, how it can be applied and where the business opportunities lie.
This approach is intended to help shorten the distance between global innovation and Indian implementation.
Iyer sees opportunities for several segments of the industry through this association.
For Indian beauty brands, greater visibility, exposure to global trends and technologies, and new conversations around distribution, collaboration and market expansion are key possibilities.
For manufacturers and ingredient suppliers, the association can spotlight India’s strengths in formulation, product development, quality systems and scalable manufacturing.
For salon professionals and entrepreneurs, access to insights on emerging products, techniques, technologies and service trends can support professional learning and business growth.
For distributors and retailers, industry coverage can offer a clearer understanding of changing consumer expectations, new brand opportunities and evolving routes to market.
By addressing these different segments, the partnership aims to make industry knowledge relevant to businesses at various stages of the value chain.
As official media partners of Cosmoprof India, both publications intend to deepen their coverage of the forces shaping beauty, fragrance and personal care.
Cosmetech will focus on formulation science, ingredient innovation, research and development, product development, manufacturing excellence and emerging technologies.
Beauty Business Days will concentrate on the business side of the beauty industry, covering professional brands, distribution, market expansion, entrepreneurship and the people building beauty enterprises.
For BBD readers, this means a stronger focus on developments that affect salon businesses, professional beauty brands and the wider industry ecosystem, with an emphasis on the commercial relevance of global trends.
A key part of Iyer’s vision is to make the association extend beyond exhibition coverage. She sees Cosmoprof India as a platform for ongoing knowledge exchange, visibility and industry engagement.
Through coverage before, during and after the event, BBD and Cosmetech aim to amplify conversations around innovation, business development and the changing needs of the beauty industry.
At Fourthwave Media Group, the larger objective is to connect informed journalism with practical opportunity: helping Indian businesses stay globally aware, strengthen their competitiveness and build deeper relationships with the international beauty ecosystem.
The partnership between Beauty Business Days, Cosmetech and Cosmoprof India marks a step towards that goal. By bringing global industry developments into sharper focus for Indian professionals and taking India’s capabilities to a wider audience, the association aims to create a more connected beauty industry—one where knowledge supports innovation, and innovation translates into business growth.
