Influencer Raj Shamani and dermatologist Dr. Manjot Marwah have agreed to remove or edit social media content critical of Dettol antiseptic liquid, following a defamation lawsuit filed by Reckitt Benckiser India.

The controversy stemmed from a podcast titled “Skin Mistakes You Didn’t Know! Tanning & Sunburn Exposed”, where Dr. Marwah allegedly described Dettol as “essentially a floor cleaning liquid” and claimed it burns wounds and delays healing. A subsequent Instagram reel posted later reinforced these claims, leading Reckitt to take legal action.
