Here are the key winners of the IFSCC 2025 Congress held in Cannes, France:

– Basic Research Award: Seoyeon Kyung, COSMAX BTI R&I Center, Korea, for developing a stress-induced hair graying model using human hair-bearing organoids.

– Applied Research Award: Jolanta Idkowiak-Baldys, L’Oréal USA ,for a paper on scalp bacterial profile, ethnicity, and their role as determining factors in dandruff.

– Johann Wiechers Poster Award: Eisuke Takai, Shiseido, Japan 

 For the study “Dynamics of Facial Shape: Unraveling the Non-Genetic Factors and Developing Face Shaping Ingredients via Gravity-Responsive 3D Facial Imaging.

Additional Distinctions and Special Awards

– Top 10 Papers, Basic Research Award: Proya Cosmetics, China (Dr. Wei Jihua, Hangzhou Longwu R&D Center)  For “Bioactive Compound Discovery for Mitochondrial Enhancement and Skin Aging Prevention: A Deep Learning-Aided Screening.

– Best Poster Award: Shiseido (for the 29th time), representing the highest number won by any manufacturer.

– Young Researcher Award (French Society of Cosmetology, SFC): Alizé Vialle, CTIBIOTECH 

For the presentation of “World’s first computer-connected lab grown human bioprinted skin with a sensory nervous system for instantaneous cosmetics and fragrance testing.

– Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Essay Prize: Jun Miao, Pechoin, China.

– Lester Conrad Education Prize: New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
