Godrej Consumer Products acquires Muuchstac

In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in high-growth personal care categories, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the FMCG business under the Muuchstac brand from Trilogy Solutions for approximately Rs. 449 crore. The acquisition will be executed via a slump sale in two tranches, both structured as an all-cash transaction.

– First tranche: Rs. 289 crore for an enterprise value of Rs. 380 crore

– Second tranche: Rs. 160 crore to be paid after 12 months, linked to an enterprise value of Rs. 400–500 crore

Muuchstac, one of India’s fastest-growing men’s grooming brands, holds a strong leadership position in the men’s segment, especially in online channels. The acquisition aligns with GCPL’s ambition to deepen its footprint in high-margin, high-growth personal care categories, complementing its existing portfolio that includes brands like Cinthol.

GCPL emphasized that the acquisition marks a pivotal step in its journey to drive profitable growth and expand its men’s grooming portfolio, tapping into evolving consumer preferences and digital-first brand strategies.
