L’Oréal Professionnel Sets Guinness World Record with India’s Biggest Hair Moment

L’Oréal Professionnel team celebrating Guinness World Record at NESCO Mumbai.

L’Oréal Professionnel has made history by setting a Guinness World Record for the “Most People Coloring Hair Simultaneously,” transforming NESCO’s sprawling 100,000 sq ft venue into India’s largest salon for a day.

The record-breaking event, held on September 17, brought together:

– 422 professional hairdressers

–  422 models

– 1 unified goal: to celebrate hair artistry and set a global benchmark

Dubbed “India’s Biggest Hair Moment,” the initiative showcased L’Oréal Professionnel’s commitment to elevating salon culture and spotlighting the creative power of the Indian hairdresser community. The event also unveiled the brand’s 2025 color trend—Iconic Browns—through live transformations led by Artistic Ambassadors and Indian Hairdressing Award winners.

Beyond the numbers, the spectacle marked a cultural shift: positioning hairdressers not just as service providers, but as creators, educators, and storytellers in the digital age.
