More than 11 Sanitiser brands fail test in Haryana
Along with the first information reports (FIRs), notices have been issued to cancel or suspend the license of over 11 sanitizer brands in Haryana. The state’s health minister Anil Vij said about 248 samples were collected by the Haryana FDA , out of which reports of 123 samples have been received. Out of the received reports, 109 samples have been passed, while 14 samples failed test. Among these, nine brands were found substandard, while five brands were found with excessive quantity of methanol present in them, which acts as a toxin. The minister said that instructions have been given to call back stocks of these brands from the market. Based on complaints received of fake sanitizers being sold, the state FDA was instructed to conduct raids in the districts of Haryana.
