VEGA launches colour cosmetics brand ‘Sery’
The day after Hindustan Unilever announced it’s move to rename ‘Fair & Lovely as Glow & lovely, global cosmetic major L’Oreal has decided to drop words like ‘whitening’, ‘fair’ and ‘light’ from its range of skin products. Readers will recollect that it was only a couple of weeks back that Johnson & Johnson had announced its exit from the fairness cream market in responseto the clamour for the cosmetic industry to break stereotypes. The #blacklivesmatter protests was the straw on the camels back that prompted many brands to act in empathy with people moving to end skin colour prejudice.
