Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited (SCIL) has officially completed its acquisition of Germany-based Heubach Group, marking a significant milestone in the global pigments industry. The deal, executed through SCIL’s wholly owned subsidiary Sudarshan Europe B.V., combines asset and share transactions to create a powerhouse in pigment technology. 

With operations now spanning 19 international sites, the acquisition strengthens Sudarshan’s footprint across Europe, the Americas, and APAC, enhancing its product portfolio with state-of-the-art pigment solutions. The newly merged entity will be led by Rajesh Rathi, Managing Director of SCIL, who will serve as CEO, driving innovation and operational synergies. 

Heubach, with its 200-year legacy, became the second-largest pigment player globally following its integration with Clariant in 2022. However, recent financial challenges, including rising costs and inventory issues, prompted the strategic acquisition by Sudarshan, which aims to implement a clear turnaround plan.

With its second global headquarters established in Frankfurt, Sudarshan reinforces Germany’s role as a key pillar in its future growth strategy. The integration team has already developed a detailed execution plan to ensure a seamless transition, unlocking efficiencies and driving synergies across the combined organization.
