BASF to Unveil Digital Service for Sustainable Personal Care Formulations

BASF’s introduction of “Ingredients Revealed” scheduled to be introduced at in-cosmetics Global in Paris is a significant step towards enhancing transparency and sustainability in the personal care industry. This digital service aims to streamline the process of identifying ingredients and formulations that meet specific criteria such as sustainability standards and labels, which are increasingly influential in consumer purchasing decisions.

As part of BASF’s “Beyond Beauty” campaign, which advocates for greater transparency and sustainability in the personal care industry, “Ingredients Revealed” offers an intuitive interface that enhances the customer experience. The three-step approach of browsing formulations, managing them, and utilizing the digital lab feature facilitates a smooth product development process.

The service is integrated into D’lite, BASF’s digital service platform for the personal care industry. While a basic version with limited formulations will be available for free, subscribers to the premium version will have full access to BASF’s extensive database of formulations. D’lite supports customers throughout the entire product development process, from understanding consumer needs to launching the final product, by integrating internal data sources and industry knowledge with external market and consumer intelligence.

Overall, “Ingredients Revealed” represents BASF’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the personal care sector, providing valuable tools for product developers to create formulations that align with consumer values and regulatory standards.
